Exceptional event: G7 summit

This evolving page informs you about exceptional events, demonstrations and construction projects in the Geneva area for which the TPG service must adapt.

Here you will find the main measures taken by the TPG in the context of the G7 summit.

Updated on June 15, 2026 at 4:58 PM.

The G7 summit to be held in Evian-les-Bains (France) from June 15 to 17, 2026 will have impacts on mobility in Geneva and throughout the cross-border region.

During this period, the operation of the tpg network will be adapted according to the security measures put in place and the traffic conditions. Some lines will be severely disrupted or limited.

Authorities will close several borders between Switzerland and France from mid-afternoon on Thursday, June 11 .

See the map of open/closed borders in the canton.

Controls will also be reinforced, which may cause significant delays at open posts, including on the tpg cross-border lines which will be able to continue to serve French territory (for open customs).

The public is encouraged to optimize their travel, to anticipate it by consulting the information available beforehand and to favour teleworking, as far as possible.

In this context and in view of the decisions taken by the authorities, the TPG are adapting their services during the summit period. All current measures are detailed in the table below.

The general measures implemented on the TPG network are as follows

  • The holiday timetable will be applied across the entire network from June 15 to 17 inclusive , except for school lines which will operate according to the normal timetable.
Cross-border lines , And will run according to their normal schedule.

  • Cross-border lines : from the afternoon of June 11 to June 17, the closure of several borders will have impacts on the route of the lines and some sections on French territory will not be served (see below).
Lines that continue to cross the border may experience delays due to increased controls.

  • tpgAérobus lines : based on our current information, tpgAérobus line services are operating as usual. However, we draw your attention to the special security measures taken in the vicinity of Geneva Airport and invite you to take precautions if you have to take a flight during this period.
