Notice of disruption | The Giants Geneva October 3

On Sunday, October 3, 2021, the tpg network will be disrupted due to the race "The Giants Geneva" which will be held around the harbour of Geneva. From approximately 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., several routes will be diverted or discontinued. The following sectors are particularly concerned: Quai Wilson, Quai du Mont-Blanc, Pont du Mont-Blanc, Quai du Général Guisan, Quai Gustave-Ador, Quai de Cologny, Rue du Rhône, Rue du Mont-Blanc, Rue François-Bonivard, Rue Philippe Plantamour    

tpg asks travelers to use the Léman Express and the shuttle boats to make trips from one shore to the other and in the Greater Geneva area easier.

Line 1

  • Pâquis sector
    The line runs along rue de Lausanne, avenue de France, Nations terminus in both directions.
    Stops not served in both directions: Monthoux, Navigation, Gautier, De-Chateaubriand, Perle du Lac and Jardin Botanique.
  • Museum area
    Modified route between Museum and 31 December, via Villereuse - Jargonnant
    Stops not served in both directions: Earthworker

Line 25

  • Pâquis sector
    The line runs along rue de Lausanne, avenue de France, Nations terminus in both directions.
    Stops not served in both directions: De-Chateaubriand, Perle du Lac and Jardin Botanique.
  • Museum area
    Modified route between Terrassière and Cornavin Station
    Stops not served in both directions: Place des Eaux-Vives, Metropole, Mont-Blanc

Line 11

Modified route between Nations and Jardin Botanique. Terminus in Appia.
Stops not served in both directions: Geneva-Sécheron-Gare and Jardin Botanique.

Line 2 
The line runs between Onex-Cité and Théâtre. End of the line at François-Diday street.
Stops not served in both directions: Bel-Air (city), Molard, Rive, Place des Eaux-Vives, Rue du Lac, Merle-d'Aubigné, Parc et plage des Eaux-Vives, Genève-Plage.

Line 6 
The line runs between Vernier-Village and Bel-Air (platform). End of the line at François-Diday street.
Stops not served in both directions: Chantepoulet, Mont-Blanc, Métropole, Rive, Place des Eaux-Vives, rue du Lac, Merle-d'Aubigné, Parc et plage des Eaux-Vives, Genève-Plage.

Line 7 
Modified route between Athénée and Bel-Air.
Stops not served direction Lignon-Tours : Rive, Métropole and Molard.
Stops not served direction Hawthorn : Bel-Air (city), Molard and Rive.

Line 8 
Modified route between Museum and Cornavin Station.
Stops not served in both directions: Rive, Metropole, Mont-Blanc.

Line 9 
Modified route between December 31 and Cornavin Station.
Stops not served in both directions: Place des Eaux-Vives, Metropole and Mont-Blanc.

Line 10 
The line runs between Genève-Aéroport-Terminal and Bel-Air (platform). End of the line at François-Diday street.

Line 33 and A 
Modified route between December 31 and Rive.
Stop not served: Place des Eaux-Vives.
Displaced stops: Rive, in front of the tpg agency.

Lines E+ and G+ 
Modified route between Vésenaz and Rive (via La Capite).
Stops not served in both directions: La Belotte, Boissier, Ruth, Tour-Carée, Montalègre, Chemin du Righi, Genève-Plage, Merle-d'Aubigné, Rue du Lac.
Displaced stops: Rive, moved to cours de Rive.

Recommendation

 

The shuttle boats and the Léman Express will run as normal during the event.
Go from one shore to the other quickly by the shuttle boats with a Zone 10 unireso "Skip the line" ticket at CHF 2.- (full fare) or CHF 1.80.- (reduced fare).

The Léman Express trains also let you move around the Greater Geneva area hassle-free (price varies according to your destination).
