Exceptional event: G7 summit
This evolving page informs you about exceptional events, demonstrations and construction works in the Geneva area for which tpg must adapt their service.
Here you will find the main measures taken by tpg in the context of the G7 summit.
The G7 summit to be held in Evian-les-Bains (France) from June 15 to 17, 2026 will have impacts on mobility in Geneva and throughout the cross-border region.
The authorities have already announced increased border controls between Switzerland and France, closed border crossings, and encouraged the population to work remotely where possible. In this context, the TPG (Geneva public transport company) is adapting its services during the summit period.
The measures implemented on the TPG network are as follows :
- The holiday timetable will be applied across the entire network from June 15 to 17 inclusive , except for school lines which will operate according to the normal timetable.
Cross-border lines 60 , 61 And 80 will run according to their normal schedule.
- The line
29
will not be running on June 12, 13 and 14, 2026.
- Cross-border lines: from June 12 to 17, the closure of several borders will have impacts on the route of the lines and some sections on French territory will not be served (see below).
Lines that continue to cross the border may experience delays due to increased controls.
- The Cornavin and Rive branches will be closed from Friday, June 12th.
The Cornavin branch will reopen on Friday, June 19th and the Rive branch will reopen on Monday, June 22nd.
The Lancy-Pont-Rouge branch will be exceptionally open on Saturday June 13, then from Monday June 15 according to its usual schedule.
