Service alert in the Mont-Blanc sector | Line deviations from May 31
As of May 31, 2021, major works carried out by the City of Geneva, the Cantonal Transport Office and the Industrial Services of Geneva (SIG) are planned on the Mont-Blanc bridge, rue du Mont-Blanc and rue de Chantepoulet.
This work is meant to improve bicycle travel safety and reduce noise pollution for local residents. Geneva public transport in the sector will be affected from May 31 to August 29, 2021. Several lines will undergo detours or other route modifications. You will find below all the information you need to plan your travels during this period.
Which lines will be affected?

Line 6
Temporary route
Line 6 will be diverted in both directions between Metropole and Gare Cornavin.
Stops served: Molard, Bel-Air and Coutance in both directions.
Stops not served: Mont-Blanc (located at rue du Mont-Blanc) in both directions and Chantepoulet
Line 8 towards OMS
Temporary route
Line 8 to OMS will be diverted between Metropole and Grottes.
Stops served:
- Mont-Blanc. Please note, this stop will be moved to Rue des Alpes (Place des Alpes level)
- Gare Cornavin. Please note, this stop will be moved next to the parc des Cropettes (rue du Fort-Barreau).
Stops not served: Mont-Blanc (located at rue du Mont-Blanc).
Line 8 will run its normal route to Veyrier.
Line 9 towards Lignon-Tours
Temporary route
Line 9 towards Lignon-Tours will be diverted between Métropole and Gare Cornavin.
Stops served: Molard, Bel-Air and Coutance (joint stop with Line 14) towards Lignon-Tours.
Stops not served: Mont-Blanc (located at rue du Mont-Blanc).
Line 9 will run its normal route to Petit-Bel-Air.
Line 25 towards Jardin Botanique
Temporary route
Line 25 to Jardin Botanique will be diverted between Métropole and Monthoux.
Stops served: Mont-Blanc. Please note, this stop will be moved to rue des Alpes (located at Place des Alpes).
Stops not served: Mont-Blanc (located at rue du Mont-Blanc), Gare Cornavin.
Line 25 will run its normal route to Thônex-Vallard.
Lines E+ and G+
Temporary route
Express Lines E+ and G+ will terminate at Rive.
Stops not served: Metropole, Mont-Blanc, Chantepoulet and Gare Cornavin, in both directions.

Please note that your unireso ticket also gives you access to the Mouettes Genevoises shuttle boats. Crossing the lake via shuttle boat can be a good alternative to get from one shore to the other!
